Welcome to Useful Lawyers.
This publication is for lawyers who know AI is already changing legal work and want to stay useful without becoming the bottleneck.
If you are a GC or Legal Director in an in-house team, the problem is not whether AI is coming. It is how to help the business use it safely, without Legal turning into the department of no. If you’re a lawyer in any field you’re likely to feel the pressure to use AI effectively and usefully in your role.
That is what I will cover here.
I will share practical AI training, governance guidance, workflows, and role-based ways to use AI in legal work. I will also show where AI helps, where it does not, and what lawyers need to understand before they advise others.
As a lawyer who has worked in technology law for over 20 years and AI advisory work since 2015 I have learned lessons from the various legal teams I’ve worked with, so this will be grounded in what legal teams actually have to deal with, not in theory.
If that is relevant to your role, subscribe for free.
Each week, you will get new content you can use in your own team.
If you want to start with something practical right away, I have included a free AI skills training below.
